The Side was formed in 1990 with four dancers, a tape recorder for music and a pub car park in Mossley to practice on. Dancers were drawn from several mill towns in the area, hence the name MILLTOWN CLOGGIES.
We currently have a group of 19 dancers who love to dance traditional Clog Morris in the North West style. We have a repertoire of 16 dances and a great band of 7 musicians who play lively and exciting tunes that complement our style. The emphasis being on fun, and enjoying our dancing.
Our dresses are blue with a white stripe and white underskirts we dance in navy clogs, we top it all off with straw hats with flowers and ribbons.
